Buyer

AMETEK is seeking a Buyer to acquire materials and services through strategic partnerships, focusing on LEAN principles. The role involves preparing purchase orders, analyzing BOMs, negotiating supplier agreements, and managing inventory. The position requires strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in materials management, business, or logistics (or training with 5+ years experience)
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Demonstrated experience with data management, manufacturing forecasting, production planning, project management and purchasing
