Public Rights of Way Officer

Amey is seeking a Public Rights of Way Officer to join their Consulting Highways team within the Development Management division. The role involves leading on the Public Rights of Way within the development of the Trafford Council's infrastructure network, ensuring statutory compliance and accessibility of the network. The position offers a hybrid role based in Manchester and is part of a partnership with Trafford Council.

Requirements

• HNC/degree qualification related to Countryside and Environmental Management or similar
• Client focused approach to service delivery
• Understanding of legislation relating to Public Rights of Way law
• Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance for highway asset management
• Ideally experience in policy and report writing
• Ideally experience in developing Capital programmes
• Ideally experience in budget monitoring and project management
• Understanding of CDM Regulations
• Ideally experience in developing safe systems of work and risk assessments
