Job Description
Amey is a leading provider of engineering, operations, and decarbonisation solutions for transport infrastructure and complex facilities, seeking a Senior Ecologist to join their Energy Transition & Sustainability (ET&S) team in Belfast. The role involves providing support for ecological schemes, taking leads on projects, mentoring junior Ecologists, and contributing to both regional and national projects to a wide range of sectors. They prioritize safety, collaboration, and employee well-being.
Requirements
- Developed experience and expertise within the Ecological field
- Expertise in protected species surveys
- EPS Mitigation licence application experience (Bats & Dormice)
- Experience in Invasive species survey and management
- Comprehensive knowledge of ecological processes and survey methodologies
- Good understanding of risk assessment
- Bachelors or Masters degree in an appropriate subject or equivalent learning
- Full membership of the Chartered Institute Of Ecology and Environmental Management (MCIEEM) or equivalent
