Electrical Engineer

Amidon Heavy Industries is a startup building unmanned systems for the offshore industry. We are hiring an Electrical Engineer to lead the design and integration of the electrical systems that power and control our autonomous surface vessel.

Requirements

• Design and implement vessel-wide electrical systems for propulsion, energy storage, and control
• Develop wiring diagrams, harnessing, and layouts for robust operation in marine environments
• Define and track power budgets across all subsystems
• Integrate sensors, actuators, and autonomy hardware into a cohesive and reliable architecture
• Select and qualify components for performance, reliability, and manufacturability
• Support on-water testing and troubleshooting under real operating conditions
• Work with other disciplines to ensure mechanical, electrical, and software systems are fully integrated
