Test Engineer

Amidon Heavy Industries is a startup building unmanned systems for the offshore industry. We are hiring a Test Engineer to design, execute, and improve the testing processes that validate our autonomous surface vessel and its subsystems.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Robotics, Mechatronics) or equivalent hands-on experience
• 2–5 years of experience testing electromechanical or robotic systems
• Strong hands-on skills with lab equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, DMM, power supplies)
• Experience writing and executing structured test procedures for complex hardware
• Familiarity with Linux and basic scripting (Python preferred)
• Comfort working with CAN, UART, Ethernet, and sensor interfaces
• Ability to diagnose failures across electrical, mechanical, and software boundaries
• Strong documentation habits and attention to detail
• Comfortable working hands-on around water, boats, and outdoor test environments
