AVP, Specialty Risk

We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Assistant Vice President of Underwriting to lead our Warranty Lines underwriting team. This role is pivotal in driving profitable growth, shaping underwriting strategies, and fostering a culture of excellence across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Actuarial, Mathematics, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of underwriting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role focused on Warranty Lines Insurance
• Proven expertise in one or more Warranty Lines areas, such as Automotive F&I, Consumer Goods (mobile phones, electronics, appliances) or Home Warranty
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risks and make data-driven decisions
• Exceptional leadership and team management experience, with a track record of building high-performing teams
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Proficiency in data analytics tools, and industry-standard software
• Deep understanding of insurance market dynamics, reinsurance structures, and regulatory requirements
