Job Description
Analytica is seeking a Data Engineer to support a key federal government client program and software product. The role involves designing and developing software products using agile methodologies, collaborating with clients, and leveraging enterprise data warehousing models. The company has been recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the fastest-growing businesses in the US for three years.
Requirements
- Design and implement star schema dimensional models (fact and dimensions tables) in SQL Server
- Write and optimize scripts for data operations including table creation, indexing, and transformation
- Develop application systems that comply with standard development methodologies
- Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or other scientific or quantitative fields
- 5+ years’ experience in designing conceptual, physical and logical data models using enterprise data modeling tools
- 5+ years’ experience in strategic data planning, governance and standards
- 5+ years’ experience in leveraging enterprise data warehouse modeling constructs and star schema best practices
- Previous hands-on experience integrating systems with big data / data lake repositories using ETL tools
- Experience with technologies such as Microsoft SQL Server, Amazon Redshift, Dbeaver, Visual Studio
- Experience with data mining & data warehousing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
