Job Description
This temporary WIC Office Assistant role is a key contact point between WIC applicants and the center. The position involves screening applicants for eligibility, providing information about benefits and program procedures, scheduling appointments, and documenting information in the NYWIC system. The assistant must maintain compliance with the Center’s policies and procedures and contribute to clinical outcomes.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- One year of accounting experience preferred
- Proficient in arithmetic, writing/communication and interviewing
- Familiarity with keyboard and typing 25 wpm
- Strong computer skills and ability to multitask
