Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js, AWS)

AOA is seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to lead the development of secure SaaS platforms and eCommerce storefronts within the Shopify Plus and Composable Commerce ecosystems. The role involves architecting, implementing, and optimizing web applications, integrating third-party services, and mentoring other engineers. Collaboration with designers and strategists is key, aiming to balance functionality, speed, and scalability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer
• Strong proficiency in NodeJS and AWS infrastructure
• Expertise in building complex systems, microservices, and integration with third-party APIs
• Strong Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools
• Excellent communication skills
• Leadership skills
