Battery NPI Engineering Program Manager

Apple is looking for an Engineering Program Manager to drive the development of next-generation batteries for Apple products, with a focus on technical, quality, and schedule requirements. The role will involve managing cross-functional engineering teams, ensuring clarity from ambiguity, and delivering innovative products with exceptional quality and speed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of technical project management experience
• Technical background in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Industry experience (preferably Battery or Consumer Electronics) of taking technologies from concept definition to mass production
• Technical project management experience in material development, mechanical design, simulation, or manufacturing process development
• Experience in working and managing suppliers across a diverse supply chain
• Experience in setting up project plans, including interdependencies and critical path; anticipate potential roadblocks and react proactively to mitigate against risks or impacts
• Solid analytical skills to evaluate competing priorities; ability to comprehend, communicate and manage complex design tradeoffs
• Demonstrated adeptness in independently owning deliverables in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment; engaged and eager to learn
• Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity
• Highly adept in multi-tasking of both short-term and long-term activities
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills with ability to influence and build consensus across teams; able to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience
• Experience with AI tools, modeling, and simulation work
• Ability to travel internationally
