Materials Project Manager (B3)

Requirements

• Forecasting and communicating engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements to suppliers
• Performing make versus buy analysis for outsourcing decisions
• Coordinating demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure
• Forming Materials Core Team and coordinating product development process deliverables
• Collaborating with engineering team to interpret engineering requirements
• Creating, releasing and updating new project materials strategy
• Sourcing and negotiating contracts with suppliers
• Monitoring supplier performance and completing supplier risk assessment
• Managing materials change control process and meeting cost objectives
• Generating and publishing Key Process Indicators and tracking total landed costs targets
• Working with engineering to identify critical parts and inspection requirements
• Actively mediating and partnering with quality and engineering teams to resolve supplier quality issues
