Job Description
Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions. We are looking for a Sr. Photonics Design Engineer to collaborate with industry partners and internal teams to establish advanced photonics technology capabilities for next generation optical interconnect.
Requirements
- PhD degree in Engineering, Physics, Photonics or related technical field
- 5-10 years of industry experience in designing or managing optoelectronics component design and development
- At least 3 years of industry experience with Si photonics
- Expertise with photonic design tools, such as Lumerical, Tidy3D, COMSOL, RSoft
- Hands-on experience on using Cadence Virtuoso and tape out with silicon photonics fab
