Job Description
Supplier Engineer responsible for developing and qualifying key suppliers for paint and fluoropolymer coating area. Requires strong knowledge and skills in working with internal and external customers and suppliers.
Requirements
- Develop/Qualify/Managing key suppliers
- Strong knowledge in subject area
- Strong skills for working with internal & external customers and suppliers
- Evaluates technical requirements of new and existing products
- Appplies knowledge of qualified sources and products to recommend materials
- Work with New Product Development teams
- Participation with New Product Introduction teams
- Continuous involvement in the Supplier Selection Process
- Leads the supplier technical audit process
- Evaluates supplier performance and capability
- Assist in cost planning by monitoring key cost drivers
- Interprets internal/external business challenges
- Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others
- Leads others to solve complex problems
