Principal Systems Engineer

Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full-time Principal Innovation Engineer to provide Systems Engineering assistance to the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management Division (C3BM). The candidate will apply a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of system engineering to the acquisition process and provide engineering support in the design, operation, and sustainment of systems and components.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen
• Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility
• Familiarity with DAF Battle Network data links and related interoperability standards
• Understanding of air, space, processing, and computing layers within the operational technology stack
• Knowledge of digital infrastructure, including networking and cloud/edge environments
• Experience with fixed AOCs and associated mission systems
• Understanding of firmware and software-defined capabilities
• Ability to engage industry, identify relevant technologies, and map solutions to mission and technical needs for PM implementation
