Job Description
The Head Coach of Track and Field is responsible for supervising all aspects of the program, including coaching players, managing equipment, and promoting the sport. The head coach must communicate with the athletic director and secretary, build a competitive season schedule, and direct instructional and conditioning camps. The coach must also teach fundamentals of the sport, communicate with parents and the community, and assist with scholarships and financial aid.
Requirements
- Demonstrated success in coaching of the sport
- Knowledge of skills involved with the sport
- Previous coaching experience in this sport at the school level is desirable but not necessary
- A teacher with a current teaching license is preferred
