Production Technician performs preventative maintenance of the plant and material handling equipment, drives to minimize overall maintenance costs, and works in a team setting or independently to ensure the division reaches its goals.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Associate's degree in Process Technology or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a process or industrial plant
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Basic mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skill
- Ability to work a 12 hour shift rotating schedule
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to use physical force to lift, push, pull and hold equipment and tools
- Ability to regularly bend, stoop, reach, twist and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to withstand elements such as rain, snow, extreme heat or cold and heights of up to 500 feet
- TWIC-card required
