R&D Steelmaking Engineer M/F

ArcelorMittal is seeking a Research Engineer for their Steelmaking department, dedicated to improving steel quality, sustainability, and manufacturing processes. This role involves investigating new technologies, optimizing production routes, and developing innovative processes for new steel grades. The team is globally diverse and supports the production plants with expertise in technical assistance, process training, and collaborative research.

Requirements

• Hold a Master’s degree or PhD with a solid scientific background in material science, thermodynamic, thermochemistry, process engineering, material characterization.
• Fluency in French and English.
• Experience in high temperature processes, chemical engineering, or sintering.
• Academic project or research assistantships.
• Good social skills and ability to work in multi-cultural teams.
