The Liturgy Coordinator's primary responsibility is to assist in the smooth flow of the liturgical ministry of the parish. This Coordinator works with the Parish Pastor, Vicar and Director of Liturgy to determine policies relating to the liturgical celebrations of the parish, and to plan the seasonal liturgical celebrations.
Requirements
- Maintains an up-to-date communication database/log and information for all liturgical Ministers
- Utilizes the ministry planning system to coordinate, schedule, and post respective rosters for Sacristans, Mass Coordinators, Lectors, and Eucharistic Ministers
- Maintains Liturgical Ministers' compliance status with the Safe Environment mandates of Archdiocese of San Antonio
- Keeps electronic or hard copy scripts on file for respective Liturgies as necessary
- Assists the Director of Liturgy and coordinates, as necessary, with setting up for all Liturgies, worship, and prayer services
- Communicate information to all liturgical ministers as directed by Pastor or Director of Liturgy
- Develop and maintain a collaborative communication relationship with the Parish Communications Coordinator
- Schedules and plans special sacramental Masses such as 1st Communion and Confirmation
- Serve as Sacristan, Lector, Eucharistic Ministers, only as needed
