Accountant

The Staff Accountant is responsible for day-to-day accounting and financial record keeping for several agencies, schools or departments of the Archdiocese of St. Louis, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Certified Public Accountant preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience
• Proven capability in a similar role, including key processes, analytical skills and technical writing
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Technical aptitude in Microsoft Office and other commonly used software
• Knowledge of Infor and/or Lawson accounting a plus
• Non-profit experience a plus
• Willingness to travel within the boundaries of the St. Louis Archdiocese
