Ares is seeking a Principal for our U.S. Direct Lending Special Situations team to develop and execute strategies to navigate active restructurings and support control equity positions that maximize risk adjusted returns across the USDL portfolio.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent with strong academic record
- 10+ years of private equity, private credit, principal investing, investment banking, or consulting experience
- Experience reviewing and analyzing credit, equity, and restructuring related legal documents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and driven leader; ability to work effectively in a collegial, demanding, and dynamic environment
