Ares is seeking a Senior Associate, Global Reconciliations to join their team. The role will involve researching, resolving, and preventing cash and par breaks with custodian banks and third-party administrators. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in investment management operations, specifically in bank loan operations and reconciliation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or other business-related discipline
- Minimum 5-7 years of investment management operations experience with high emphasis on bank loan operations and reconciliation
- Strong knowledge of various asset classes, primarily focused in the area of credit/fixed income, derivatives, and FX with an emphasis on bank debt and high yield/alt credit
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Wall Street Office and Geneva, as well as PowerBI and Python
- Direct experience partnering with the business units to ensure operational efficiency and collaborative outcomes
- Experience working with an outsource/offshore service provider
- Experience working with custodian and agent banks
- Understanding of basic accounting theories
- Hedge fund, Credit or Private Equity experience is a plus
