Job Description
The School of Applied Sciences and Arts at Arizona State University invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor for the online Writers’ Studio First-Year Composition program. The successful candidate will teach a 4/4 course load of First-Year Composition courses and have a 20% service component to their contract. The Assistant Teaching Professor position is a full-time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure eligible position renewable on an academic year basis contingent upon satisfactory performance, availability of resources, and the needs of the university.
Requirements
- Teach a 4/4 course load of First-Year Composition courses
- Have a 20% service component to their contract
- Provide service to the program, School, College, University, public, profession and community
- Work with Instructional Designers and Faculty Head to develop and implement course curriculum
- Review and evaluate effectiveness of teaching methods and work activities
