Quality Assurance Inspector II

Performs in-process and final inspection of products used in airframe and missile manufacturing. Analyzes engineering blueprints, process specifications, and shop travelers to determine inspection requirements.

Requirements

• Determines most practical inspection method and technique
• Plans sequence of operation
• Selects precision measuring instruments and equipment
• Conducts first article, receiving inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection assignments
• Witnesses first piece part production and certifies acceptability
• Inspects incoming metallic and fiber materials, plastic and rubber compounds
• Verifies vendor and material certifications
• Monitors oven and cure processes and records temperature readings and dwell time
• Prepares rework tags, inspection reports, and documentation
