Speech Language Pathology Assistant

We are currently offering a $6000 hiring bonus for all new Speech Language Pathologist Assistants. Aspire Public Schools operates a network of high-performing, college preparatory charter schools serving TK-12 scholars in communities across California. Requirements

• Conduct speech-language screenings using a variety of screening tools and techniques
• Follow documented therapy plans
• Support the SLP with contacting families to arrange IEP meetings
• Document student progress in IEP system
• Prepare therapy materials for use in pullout small group setting or in classroom setting
• Adapt or modify instructional materials as determined by student need and abilities for teacher-use in the classroom
• Consult with general ed teachers to co-plan instructional materials or implement strategies
• Track performance data using progress monitoring tools and report progress on IEP goals
• Assist with IEP progress monitoring under the supervision of the SLP
• Creates and maintains safe, positive environment for students
• Collaborates with members of IEP Team, Special Education team and School site teams
• Demonstrate knowledge of, and support, Aspire Public Schools mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior
