Job Description
Join the Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit as a Senior Mechanical Engineer to develop fluid systems and lead a team. Work with multi-disciplined teams and the supply chain to deliver system design. Lead fluid system development, review design documents, conduct optioneering, and integrate system design.
Requirements
- Industry experience in nuclear, thermal power, oil and gas, or other highly regulated sectors
- Experience in fluid system design development
- Proficient in roles covering FEED to detailed design and EPC delivery
- Skilled in developing procurement specifications and collaborating with suppliers
- Strong technical background in thermal power or similar projects
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders
- Ability to identify and manage critical interfaces on major projects
- Knowledgeable in UK Health and Safety regulations, safety systems, HAZOP, and engineering standards
- Familiar with ASME, European, and UK codes and standards
- Experience or awareness in Systems Engineering is a plus
