Job Description
Astranis is a satellite communication company seeking a Senior Network Automation Engineer to design, develop, and automate their global network services infrastructure. This role focuses on building reliable, scalable, secure, and efficient network solutions, utilizing modern DevOps and automation practices. The position involves network analysis, troubleshooting, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 2+ years focused on network automation or DevOps integration
- Deep understanding of routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF)
- Hands-on experience with enterprise LAN/WAN networking and Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or equivalent
- Experience building monitoring infrastructure using tools such as cacti, zabbix, PRTG
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar
- Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and version control systems (Git)
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to handle on-call support and occasional travel
