Job Description
Astranis is a rapidly expanding satellite communications company focused on high-orbit satellites for large enterprises, governments, and military. The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer role focuses on ensuring supply chain requirements are met, collaborating with suppliers, and improving manufacturing processes for new technologies. The role involves onboarding/qualifying new suppliers, managing quality processes, and identifying and resolving non-conformances.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years experience in Manufacturing, Quality, or Product Engineering
- At least 5 years working with electronics manufacturing (EEE components, harnesses, PCB, or PCBA)
- Familiar with IPC-A-600, 610, and 620 Class 3 standards, IPC-J-STD-001, and/or MIL-STD
- Experience in the production floor bringing up new products and quality inspections
- Ability to author technical requirements and provide feedback to designs
- Ability to maintain supplier scorecards and implement department metrics
