Lead C++ Software Architect

Astrome is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to oversee the development of software projects, manage teams, and lead the design of software systems. This full-time on-site role involves team leadership, code review, roadmap creation, and contributing hands-on to the development process. The company is a deeptech startup specializing in 5G and rural telecommunications.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge and experience in C++ programming (not just C)
• Experience in abstraction and algorithmic thinking
• Ninja of debugging real-time embedded systems and logical reasoning
• Design, develop, test, debug, update, and maintain code
• 13+ years of experience of which at least 3 years of experience leading a team
• Hands-on experience in device drivers and board bring-up in Linux and FreeRTOS
• Experience in I2C, SPI, UART, and other serial communication protocols
• Experience with LInux kernel and Hardware accelerator based datapath (in SoC's) for packet processing is a plus
• Experience in memory mapped devices in Linux and RTOS environments
• Experience in Wireless firmware for Linux
• Hands-on experience in Python
• Experience in automated testing
• Computer Science and Software Development skills
• Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills
• Experience in managing software development teams
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and team player skills
