Asylum Access Mexico is seeking law students to provide legal advice and support to refugees and asylum seekers. The role involves providing legal orientation, supporting regularization requests, and conducting legal research. The position is ideal for those interested in International Refugee Law, migration, human rights, and strategic litigation.

Requirements

• Be a law student in the last semesters (8th or 9th) or be in the process of titling.
• Have a minimum availability of 20 hours a week for a minimum period of 3 months.
• Have an interest in International Refugee Law, migration, human rights, and/or strategic litigation.
• Have skills in legal research and writing.
• Show sensitivity towards vulnerable populations, as well as willingness to work with people in mobility contexts.
• Have good communication skills, both oral and written, as well as active listening and empathetic treatment skills.
• Be responsible, organized, and able to work autonomously and collaboratively.
• Basic or intermediate knowledge of office tools (Word, Excel, Google Drive).
• Desirable: basic knowledge of the Mexican legal system in migration matters and/or previous experience in legal attention, community work, or volunteering.
