Job Description
The Accounts Receivable Insurance Follow-Up Specialist is responsible for answering billing and payment questions, following the claims process, and processing refund requests.
Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years experience working in AF followup for a physician practice preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD and CPT codes
- Ability to read EOB's and process denials and payments
- Knowledge of payer rules for filing claims
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Previous orthopedic billing experience preferred
