Job Description
Do you feel called to serve in a Christian Ministry? The Mental Health Counselor plays a vital role in advancing Atlanta Mission’s Christ-centered ministry by walking alongside individuals as they pursue emotional healing, stability, and restoration.
Requirements
- Licensure (or active pursuit of licensure) is required for this role.
- Master’s Degree in one or more of the following: Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field that supports the requirements set by the State Board of Professional Counselors
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in mental health counseling.
- Strong working knowledge of the DSM-5, including common diagnoses and co-occurring disorders within vulnerable populations.
- Ability to establish, maintain, and model appropriate therapeutic boundaries with clients experiencing trauma, homelessness, or complex psychosocial challenges.
