Safety Attendant

The Safety Attendant works outside of confined spaces, monitoring and protecting workers entering the space, and alerting rescue if necessary. They may also be responsible for monitoring workers performing hot work and preventing fires.

Requirements

• Verifiable experience performing hole watch, fire watch, & bottle watch duties
• Ability to travel, sometimes for extended periods of time
• Successful completion of pre-employment screening to include drug screen and background check
• Safety-oriented attitude with a true commitment to personal safety, as well as the safety of others
• Ability to don respiratory protection equipment for extended periods of time if necessary
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus
• Ability to operate equipment including atmospheric monitoring meters (O2, -H2S, CO & LEL), radios and fire extinguishers
