Job Description
Atom Computing is building quantum computers and seeks a Laser Engineer to manage and scale up their laser systems for quantum computers, focusing on reliability and performance. The role involves technical expertise, project management, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Provide technical expertise to laser and optical projects.
- Gather project requirements and turn them into action plans.
- Experience & Education: Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Optics, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2+ years experience using and maintaining optical, opto-mechanical and/or laser systems.
- Expertise with current state-of-the-art lasers/amplifiers and nonlinear optical materials.
- Experience with data analysis and engineering change documentation.
- Definite pluses: Familiarity with Python and Git software version control.
