Job Description
VMware Systems Engineer position available. The candidate will provide technical support to the Build Services team, ensuring build compliance and proposing architectural solutions for high availability, reliability, and security.
Requirements
- B.S. degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related degree or equivalent work experience
- Hands-on experience with VMware vCloud Suite Enterprise Edition software components
- Working knowledge of production Web hosting environments
- Strong knowledge of Solaris 10 administration
- Knowledge of TCP/IP troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of other Internet protocols (e.g., DNS, LDAP, Telnet, SMTP, SNMP)
- Linux OS
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to produce written documentation (procedures and work instructions)
- Ability to coach junior administrators
