Job Description
Join Atrius Health, part of the Optum family of businesses, as a Medical Assistant II in Medford, MA. Under general supervision, performs expanded and advanced level medical assistant duties, providing direct clinical support to clinicians and improving clinical efficiencies of the operation.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalency certificate
- Medical Assistant Certification
- Associate degree in medical assisting or graduate of medical assistant certification program (preferred)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (strongly preferred)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (may be required based on specialty)
- Three years of experience in a clinical setting with at least one year as a Medical Assistant
- Computer experience with word processing and spreadsheet programs
- Electronic medical record (EMR) experience and/or aptitude to master the EMR
