Database Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE) to own the reliability, performance, monitoring, and security of our database ecosystem across AWS RDS, Aurora, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.

Requirements

• 3-5 years in a database-focused engineering or reliability role
• Strong hands-on expertise with AWS RDS & Aurora (Postgres/MySQL), PostgreSQL administration & tuning, SQL Server administration
• Strong understanding of performance tuning and diagnostics, high availability, replication, DR, and failover mechanisms, backup/restore operations, IAM, access control, encryption, and auditability
• Experience supporting mission-critical production databases
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to communicate effectively under pressure
• Comfortable partnering with data engineering teams
