Job Description
Aurora is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Backend - Fleet Intelligence to drive the design and execution of high-impact distributed systems and services that serve as the backbone of Aurora's operational and autonomy ecosystems.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience building and operating large-scale backend or distributed systems.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems design, API design, scalable service architecture, and data modeling.
- Proven experience owning system architecture end-to-end, making strategic technical decisions, and driving multi-team engineering initiatives.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to partner effectively across engineering and operational domains.
- Proficiency with Golang, cloud infrastructure, and operational tooling (e.g., AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability stacks).
