Job Description
The Aurora Chaldon School, part of the Aurora Group, is seeking two Maintenance Technicians to join their growing team. The role involves maintaining grounds and equipment, ensuring a high-quality learning environment for children and young people with autism spectrum conditions, and responding to maintenance requests efficiently. It's a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for training and development.
Requirements
- Qualified First Aider (desirable)
- Health and Safety qualifications e.g. Working at Height, Manual Handling, COSHH etc (desirable)
- Hold an additional trade/skill such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry or painting/decorating (desirable)
- At least 2 Years’ experience as a site maintenance technician
- Full UK Driving License with own vehicle
- Knowledge of safe working principles and Health and Safety Legislation
- COSHH – safe use of chemicals
- An understanding of the impact of works on wildlife and adjustments needed
- Mechanical experience is essential
- IT skills to operate internal audit systems
- Willingness to work unsociable hours
- Valid DBS check
