Lead Data engineer

This is a Permanent/Contract Lead Data Engineer position at Snowpro in the UK. The role focuses on design, development, and execution of solutions using Snowflake, AWS data platforms, and best practices. It involves client engagement, solution delivery, and mentoring. The position requires 13-18 years of Data and Analytics experience, proficiency with AWS and Snowflake, and the ability to lead multiple practice teams.

Requirements

• 13-18 years of Data and Analytics experience
• Minimum 10+ years in AWS data platform (S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Sagemaker, Quicksight, MLOPS)
• Snowflake DWH architecture, data sharing, Snowpipe, and data governance
• Knowledge of at least one AWS/Snowflake/AI technology/methodology
• AWS Cloud Data Platform experience (2+ AWS Data/analytics certifications)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Experience with SnowPro certification
• Experience with open-source software and languages
• Understanding of AWS Bedrock, AI services, and Snowflake Cortex
• Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills
• Ability to work independently and build IP
