Weld Engineer

Axis Automation is seeking Weld Engineers to join a dynamic team creating custom factory automation equipment. The role involves designing, implementing, and documenting welding systems, including welding systems for various automation and robotic equipment. This is a 100% travel position due to customer site visits, and involves both technical design and collaboration with other team members.

Requirements

• Design, Implement, and Document welding and joining systems.
• Monitor project timelines and drive for project deadlines.
• Interpret customer specifications and communicate effectively.
• Follow customer dictated specifications, design and programming methodology.
• Ensure equipment meets industry safety guidelines.
• Simulation presentations with internal team, customers and suppliers.
• Develop and program parameters, schedules, and specifications.
• Provide real-time debug and runoff support.
• Communicate with vendors to specify and source components.
• Support the build and electrical teams.
