Chemist

We are seeking a Chemist to work in a cGMP regulated environment manufacturing active pharmaceutical products (APIs) as well as performing related activities at Bachem. The Chemist will install, operate and maintain equipment, perform synthesis, purification, and quality control tasks, and follow GMP guidelines and housekeeping rules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related scientific field
• 10+ years technician / industrial equipment experience in lieu of degree
• 0-2 years’ experience with Bachelor’s degree
• General lab instrument (e.g. HPLC, UV Spectrometry) knowledge and operation experience
• Experienced in GMP manufacturing as well as basic knowledge of cGMP and FDA regulations
• Experience in the manufacture of peptides and oligonucleotides
• Ability to communicate effectively and function well in a team environment
• Flexibility of working hours based on business needs
• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
