The Engineering Manager will lead a cross-functional team of software engineers, defining and promoting ways of working, hiring, and training strategies. They will be responsible for a balanced development team that delivers software that meets customer expectations, and will contribute to the delivery of products used by global customers, impacting 100+ million end-users.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary Agile development teams
- Experience in leading multi-disciplinary Agile development teams (minimum 2 teams of 6-10 engineers)
- Rock solid understanding and experience with agile software development practices like scrum, kanban or SAFe
- Technical practices like continuous integration, automated testing, release management, performance monitoring and applicable tooling
- Ability to prioritize and plan effectively, work well under pressure and in ambiguity
- Strong ability to persuade, inspire and motivate others
- Experience with setting up new development teams, including hiring, team line-up and onboarding/training strategies
- Solid prior career experience as a software engineer, giving sufficient technology skills to interact with technical colleagues
