Job Description
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements for commercial and residential real estate entities, including the management of recovery pools and supporting property management teams. The position requires a broad knowledge of accounting processes and procedures to allow for professional growth and expansion of responsibilities. It reports to the Controller and will work independently with the support of a Property Management team.
Requirements
- Prepare monthly financial package for review.
- Ensure accuracy of data in tenant ledgers.
- Prepare journal entries and accruals for real estate taxes, insurance, and depreciation.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
- Maintain the recovery pools for commercial tenants.
- Support other teams with property management
- Maintain Real Estate Taxes and Insurance schedules.
