Job Description
We're hiring a Special Education Teacher for our High School Transition Program in Mt Laurel, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, a CE, CEAS or Standard License in Elementary Education K-6 or PK-3, and experience in special education.
Requirements
- Assess students' individual abilities and create customized lessons plans
- Address specific Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and encourage skill-building
- Review IEPs to ensure goals are appropriate and recommend modifications
- Provide training for parents, in the classroom and at home
- Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles throughout the educational experience of the people we serve
- Communicate with students, families, and guardians
