Job Description
This PRN Night shift position at Emerus, a leader in small-format hospitals, serves as a liaison between patients, payers, and health care teams. The role focuses on accurate billing, patient tracking, and financial support, aiming to maximize hospital reimbursement. It requires excellent customer service, data entry skills, and adherence to relevant regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of patient registration and insurance verification experience in a health care setting, required; 2 years preferred
- Emergency Department registration experience, strongly preferred
- Knowledge of various insurance plans (HMO, PPO, POS, Medicare, Medicaid) and payors, required
- Basic understanding of medical terminology
- Excellent customer service
- Working knowledge of MS Office
