Senior Associate, Investment Accounting

Barings is a leading global financial services firm seeking a Senior Associate, Investment Accounting to join its corporate Investment Accounting Team. The ideal candidate will have a natural desire to learn about the company's investments, strategies, and fund structures, as well as the current processes for investment accounting and fund consolidations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 2-5 years relevant accounting experience
• CPA (or on track) with public accounting experience strongly preferred
• Prior experience in financial services, particularly in investment accounting, fund accounting or financial reporting is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of investment accounting US GAAP Requirements, specifically ASC 320, ASC 321, ASC 323 and ASC 810
• Strong interactive skills, self-motivated and open to change, able to work independently as well as part of a broader team
• Excellent time management skills, ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
• Experience with Workday a plus, Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on Excel
