Job Description
The Mechanic is responsible for completing routine maintenance of mining equipment and maintaining shop areas, ensuring safe and efficient operation of equipment. This role requires physical labor and interaction with people in a fast-paced environment. The position is a full-time, rotating shift position.
Requirements
- Reporting to an Open Pit Maintenance Supervisor
- Five (5) years of experience in maintenance of mobile, farm, trucking, aircraft, military or support equipment preferred
- Basic knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Ability to work safely and effectively with minimal supervision
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
- Experience handling tires preferred
- Ability to work a rotating schedule of nights and days
