The Graduate Assistant to the Archivist helps with the maintenance and management of the collections including rare books, historical University records, special collections, and documents in an organized manner.
Requirements
- Oversees the Reading Room assisting in-person and remote reference support.
- Keeps logs and records of visitors to the Archives and the Archival documents accessed.
- Assists in the digitizing of Archival materials.
- Assists in the creating of exhibits supporting the University’s special events such as Homecoming and Founders Week.
- Works on archival special projects or assignments developing professional skills that support their academic studies.
- Assists in cataloging projects to enhance discoverability of the archival and general collections.
