The Bay Area Women's Center serves Bay and Arenac Counties in Michigan. Our mission is to eliminate domestic violence and sexual assault in our service area. Services are free of charge and include crisis intervention, advocacy and safe haven for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, and violence prevention education to the community while actively pursuing social change. Our major objective is to create a comprehensive victim-centered community response to domestic violence and sexual assault through emergency shelter and counseling services, advocacy, and violence prevention education.
Job Description
Bay Area Women's Center is seeking a Pediatric Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE-P) to join their team and support children under 12. The SANE-P provides compassionate care and assessment for survivors of sexual assault, including forensic examination, documentation, and referrals. This role is a vital part of the center's mission to provide healing and support to survivors.
Requirements
- Two years of nursing in Emergency, Critical Care, Women’s Health, or Public Health.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure or higher.
- Valid malpractice insurance (1,000,000/3,000,000) (reimbursed by BAWC).
