Job Description
This Senior Backend Engineer role involves leading development, planning releases, researching industry trends, and contributing to the codebase. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of the dubizzle code base and strong understanding of cloud infrastructure. They will also mentor other engineers and contribute to product planning. The role also requires lead in end-to-end software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional back-end software engineering experience
- Experience with Cloud hosted infrastructure and Technologies; AWS preferred
- Prior experience with Kubernetes & Docker
- Experience working on high-traffic and large-scale web products
- Experience with web infrastructure, SOA, distributed systems, performance analysis, search infrastructure
- Strong understanding of design patterns (asynchronous programming, queuing, logging, security, persistence)
- Mastery of caching strategies (memcached)
- Good understanding of build process management (continuous integration)
- Mastery of testing methodologies (unit, component, integration)
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
